Ohio Congressional Election 2020 Political Courage Test

Pro-life Do you generally support pro-choice or pro-life legislation?
I will never vote for the use of federal funds to pay for abortions under any circumstances. I will never vote to allocate federal funds to organizations that either perform or promote abortion. I will always vote to protect innocent human life, and I will never vote for any legislation authorizing or approving euthanasia. I will always vote to protect innocent human life in any/all circumstances.
No In order to balance the budget, do you support an income tax increase on any tax bracket?
No Do you support expanding federal funding to support entitlement programs such as Social Security and Medicare?
I support the implementation and passage of the Fair Tax Act, H.R. 25, to concurrently repeal the federal income tax amendment, eliminate all business, personal income, and capital gains taxes; it will replace them with a national sales/consumption tax. This would also eliminate the destructive U.S. Federal Tax Code. The IRS would be eliminated. Americans would only be taxed on their purchases of new goods and services. Taxes will be eliminated on income and production and replaced with a national consumption tax for everyone, The Fair Tax Act would also provide a stable source of funding for Medicare and Social Security.
Yes Do you support the regulation of indirect campaign contributions from corporations and unions?
Our current system is corrupt. I will also support legislation banning ex-members of Congress and the Senate along with their staff members (for life) from becoming paid lobbyists after they leave office. I would vote to make it a crime for any lobbyist to write any bills for consideration by the Congress, Senate, or the President to be enacted into public law. I will propose and vote for the TOTAL ELIMINATION OF ALL FORMS OF CORPORATE/BANKING WELFARE.
Yes Do you support increasing defense spending?
I support the maintenance of a strong national defense and a military second to none, that is adequately funded, to defend the United States against all potential and actual aggressors, attacks, and actual national security threats from abroad. American military force should only be used to defend the United States and its allies from attack based on our approved treaties. I will not support the deployment of the U.S. military into foreign wars unless total military victory is the objective. I believe that there is room to cut the defense budget and reform is badly needed.
No Do you support federal spending as a means of promoting economic growth?
Yes Do you support lowering corporate taxes as a means of promoting economic growth?
I support passage of the Fair Tax which would be a consumption tax all Americans would pay on new goods and services while abolishing all business and personal income taxes. They would be replaced by the national Fair consumption tax which has bipartisan support. The IRS would be abolished along with the federal income tax.
No Do you support requiring states to adopt federal education standards?
I believe that schools should be managed locally to ensure accountability and parental involvement. The authority of parents to determine the education of their children without interference from the government is critical. I agree that parents should have control of and responsibility for all funds for their children's education. I strongly support home schools. I support local vouchers to allow parents the flexibility to choose the their children's schools. Competition is essential to reform of our educational system. I would vote for the immediate abolition of the federal Department of Education.
No Do you support government funding for the development of renewable energy (e.g. solar, wind, geo-thermal)?
No Do you support the federal regulation of greenhouse gas emissions?
I will support the elimination of all federal laws, rules, controls, and regulations that are designed to limit the exploration, discovery, development, production, and refinement of abundant American energy resources. America has an abundance of national gas, oil, and other resources, that if developed and produced, would result in American energy independence. I will support the elimination of federal government controls on energy development and production, allowing American companies the freedom to explore, develop, and produce energy alternatives that are best as determined by the free market. Government funds are not required to do this.
No Do you generally support gun-control legislation?
I will oppose any legislation or treaties that restricts or attempts to restrict or infringe upon the Second Amendment Rights of innocent Americans to bear arms for their own protection, and that of their families, friends, neighbors, and associates! I will support gun laws that will keep weapons out of the hands of criminals/felons, the criminally insane, the mentally ill, and those who publicly state their intention to use weapons to commit crimes. I believe that our state mental hospitals should be reopened to house dangerous felons and the criminally insane before they commit gun crimes.
Yes Do you support repealing the 2010 Affordable Care Act ("Obamacare")?
I will support the repeal of any/all remnants of Obama Care and will oppose any/all attempts to establish a national health care system run or managed by the federal government. I favor restoring a totally free-market health care system. I will insist that health insurance sales be legalized nationally across state lines to increase competition among the insurance companies. No American must ever be forced by its government to buy goods/products/services they do not wish to purchase. I agree that tort reform is critical to reducing costs since the current system is laden with fraud, waste, and abuse requiring reforms.
Yes Do you support the construction of a wall along the Mexican border?
Yes Do you support requiring immigrants who are unlawfully present to return to their country of origin before they are eligible for citizenship?
I do not believe that immigration can be reformed without first gaining control of our nation's borders and ports. I will never support any form of amnesty for illegal immigrants. I support and will vote for a wall on the southern border of the United States, I will also support the reform of the current VISA system to ensure that foreign visitors to the United States leave when their approved VISAS expire. I will support the end of chain migration, and the end of the Visa lottery system. I will support the implementation of E-Verify for employers across the nation.
Yes Should the United States use military force to prevent governments hostile to the U.S. from possessing a weapon of mass destruction (for example: nuclear, biological, chemical)?
Yes Do you support reducing military intervention in Middle East conflicts?
I will not support the deployment of the U.S. military into foreign wars unless total military victory is the objective. I will not support deployments of our military into foreign conflicts if restrictive, politically correct rules of engagement are unwisely imposed on our armed forces. I believe that it is too costly to defend foreign borders without defending our own borders first. I will not support the deployment of American military troops into NO WIN Wars that do not have clear achievable military objectives.
Yes Do you generally support removing barriers to international trade (for example: tariffs, quotas, etc.)?
I support fair but equal trade. I support the placement of tariffs on foreign goods if those nations are placing tariffs on American goods. When they reciprocate and eliminate their tariffs, America should follow suit. I oppose the exportation of American jobs to increase corporate profits via the usage of cheap foreign slave labor.
1. Pass a Balanced Budget amendment to the Constitution. 2, Pass a Term Limits Amendment to the Constitution for Congress and the Senate. 3. Pass a Line Item veto Amendment to allow the President to veto selected items in the appropriations bills without having to veto the whole bill in order to control and eliminate wasteful federal spending. These 3 measures would change American national government forever. Those elected would go to Washington DC for a limited amount of time to make hard decisions to balance our federal budget which has not been done in almost 30 years.
